Rancho Cucamonga's VFW Post 8680 seeks donations to support holiday help for veterans in need

Inland Valley Daily Bulletin - 11/21/2020

Nov. 20--In its fourth annual Season of Giving program, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8680 of Rancho Cucamonga, with the help of the Frito-Lay company and the Hispanic Bar Association of the Inland Empire, is providing vouchers for Stater Bros. turkey dinners to veterans' families in need.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic and restrictions on businesses, Post 8680 has not been able to raise as much as it did last year, so the post is asking friends of the Veterans of Foreign Wars to help support the Season of Giving program.

Donations may be sent to VFW Post 8680, 8751 Industrial Lane, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730. Make checks payable to VFW Post 8680 with S.O.G. in the memo space.

Veteran families who participate in the program are referred by the Employment Development Department, veterans section, or by the San Bernardino Veterans Center., according to a news release. Veterans may also call VFW Post 8680 at 909-980 5220.
