The Siris Lateral Support Splint is a finger extension splint designed for use by individuals with arthritis, hypermobile joints, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and other injuries or disabilities of the fingers. Made of sterling silver, these double-loop elliptically-shaped splints are designed to correct lateral deviation and block hyper extension of the joint, while allowing full flexion. The lateral support, which is the fulcrum point of the splintis always placed on the side opposite the finger is deviating. For example, if there is ulnar deviation, the splint should provide support on the radial side. If the finger is bilaterally unstable, the splint can be ordered with support on both sides. If additional leverage is required, an optional distal extension can be added to the same side that the finger is deviating. Available in regular, extra-width, and extra-strength models, these splints can be worn on any of the interphalangeal (IP) joints of the hand. OPTIONS: Fourteen karat gold. SIZES: Based on ring size. A measuring kit and round and oval ring sizers are available.
