The Solo XT-550 is a four-wheeled scooter designed for indoor or outdoor use by large individuals with mobility disabilities. FRAME (LxW): 48 x 24 inches (26 inches wide with armrests). Ground clearance is 4 inches with 10-inch rear wheels. This scooter has additional aluminum crossbracing for strength and non-skid front fender footrests. The scooter is available in red or blue and disassembles for transport and storage. RWD: Rear wheel transaxle drive. This scooter is equipped with added special gearing to provide approximately 20 percent more power than the Solo scooter (see separate entry). CONTROLS: Controls and key lock are located on the adjustable tiller. SEAT: The removable swivel seat adjusts from 18 to 20 inches high in one-inch increments. The seat has a triple reinforced seat frame and a reinforced seat post. A powered seat lift is optional. UPHOLSTERY: Gray fabric upholstery is standard; gray vinyl is available. ARMRESTS: Width-adjustable flip-up armrests are standard. BRAKES: Electro-mechanical brakes. WHEELS: Ten-inch wheels. OPTIONS: Front and rear baskets, walker holder, crutch holder, cane holder, oxygen holder, safety flag, lights, and mirror. POWER: Uses two rechargeable batteries. SPEEDS: Maximum forward speed is 4 miles per hour and maximum reverse speed is 2.5 miles per hour. A variable speed control knob is standard. CAPACITY: 550 pounds. WEIGHT: 144 pounds without batteries. The heaviest piece weighs 57 pounds.
