The Living Ramp is a modular ramp for persons with mobility disabilities requiring assistance in negotiating walkers and wheelchairs into and out of homes and buildings. The corrosion-resistant, all-aluminum, anti-slip ramp is lightweight, portable and flexible enough in design to be placed around corners. Guaranteed not to crack, crumble, splinter, rot or rust, the ramp is designed with 32 inch handrails to provide easy gripping for wheelchair users. The ramp is shipped in sections and requires basic hand tools for assembly. Ramps longer than 15 feet are made in two or more sections. It can be installed permanently at government building sites or other public buildings that require ramp access. OPTIONS: Handrails are available in a basic rounded pipe design, recommended for ramps likely to be moved often, and a sleek, flat style recommended for semi-permanent installations. Platforms and support legs with adjustable height leveling pads are also optional. DIMENSIONS: Ramps are available in widths of 36 inches and 48 inches. The optimum ramp incline is one foot of rise per 12 feet of length. The grade can be changed to meet conditions at the installation site. WEIGHT: Platforms vary in weight from 250 pounds to 430 pounds.
