--- "DO IT YOURSELF" ENTRY ------- PURPOSE: To activate the brakes of a White 4-210, 4 wheel drive tractor, for operators with upper and lower extremity impairments. Recommends that a driver's education instruction brake pedal assembly be mounted sideways to the frame of the cab. The operator uses his right hand and shoulder muscles to push the pedal which pulls on a cable connected to the brake pedal on the floor. A flexible sheath carries the cable down to the floor of the cab below the tractor floor pedal. A pulley is mounted on the floor of the cab; the cable runs under and around this pulley and is clamped to the underside of the brake pedal shank. Pushing on the pedal pulls the cable, which in turn pulls the tractor brake pedal down and activates the brakes. SKILLS REQUIRED: Assembly. AUTHOR: Field, W.
