DirectEar, set 250, is a personal amplification system designed for use by individuals who are hard of hearing. Designed for personal listening to television, VCRs, or hi-fi equipment with audio ports, the infrared set includes the transmitter and a stethoscope-style receiver with adjustable volume control and adjustable right/left balance. Set 250J offers the same features and includes an output jack on the receiver for use with direct audio input, induction neck loops, etc. POWER: The receiver uses a nickel metal-hydride battery for six hours of uninterrupted use. Two batteries are included and the spare battery can be charged in the transmitter while the other is in use. Additional batteries and a separate charger are also available at an extra cost. OPTIONS: Additional headset receivers in both styles, television microphone, ear cushions, and an additional transmitter. DIMENSIONS: Operates over an area of approximately 643 square feet. WEIGHT: The receiver weighs 1.6 ounces. WARRANTY: Two years.
