For information or a registration reminder, contact: This program is designed for mental health and medical providers, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, pharmacists, nurses, counselors, social workers and ancillary clinicians, as well as educators, community members, families and individuals experiencing symptoms of psychosis. Attendees will learn about first episode psychosis recognition and treatment, and resources for individuals experiencing symptoms of first episodes. UNC OASIS Wake is funded, in part, by a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) block grant to support “evidence-based programs that address the needs of individuals with early serious mental illness, including psychotic disorders,” in collaboration with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services and Alliance Behavioral Healthcare.
