Marine Corps League, Redlands Detachment, delivers Christmas stockings to hospitalized veterans

Dec. 26--Members of the Marine CorpsLeague Redlands, Cpl. Aaron M. Allen Detachment 1459, and members of the East Valley Young Marines teamed up with the Kristi's Hope organization to deliver Christmas stockings Dec. 21 to patients at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Medical Center in Loma Linda.

Kristi's Hope partnered with the Marine Corps League, San Diego Detachment, and Southern California communities to collect Christmas stockings and stocking stuffers for veterans hospitalized over the Christmas holidays, according to a press release from Jeffrey Breiten, commandant of the Redlands Detachment.

Kristi's Hope also delivered Christmas stockings to patients at the VA medical centers in Long Beach and San Diego, a total of more than 900 stockings going to the three Southern California VA medical centers, according to the press release.

The Marine Corps League, Redlands Detachment, meets 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of every month at the Redlands Elk Lodge, 663 New York St. All honorably discharged and retired Marines and Fleet Marine Forces corpsmen are invited to attend.
