The LED SignalEyes Pedestrian Signal is a voice output and vibrating pedestrian signal system designed for use by pedestrians who are blind or have low vision. This pedestrian signal system provides voice and vibrating output through the Vibro-Tactile Orientation and Mobility Unit (see separate entry), a remote receiver carried by individual pedestrians. The signal features a light emitting diode (LED) display with animated, moving eyes that induce improved looking behavior by pedestrians for greater awareness of threats from turning traffic. The Walk signal is a walking man and the Don't Walk signal is an upraised hand. The LED displays are dimmed at night to reduce glare and power consumption. The signal operates in a temperature range of minus 40 degrees to 165 degrees Fahrenheit. The expected service life is seven years depending on temperature, with ten years being typical. POWER: Uses 120 volts alternating current (AC). OPTIONS: Single display or dual display. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): Single display is 17 x 2.5 x 17 inches; dual displays are 12 x 2.5 x 12 inches. WARRANTY: Four years from date of purchase. COLOR: LED displays are orange and Hi Viz blue or white.
