The Keepsafer Wireless Home Security System, model SSD-16, is a security system and burglar alarm designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. This security system can cover an area up to 5,000 square feet in 16 zones using wireless sensors. The system has a loud internal siren and a control console with a visual sensor display. The console can be wall mounted or sit on a tabletop. The system has five operating modes: HOME for monitoring perimeter sensors; AWAY for monitoring perimeter and interior sensors; CHIME for monitoring doors and windows; TEST; or OFF. It comes with a 16-channel console, three door/window sensors, a keychain remote control, a yard sign, and an installation/operation videocassette and manual. OPTIONS: Backup battery; 24-hour central station monitoring; automatic voice dialer to call emergency telephone numbers in case of alarm; passive infrared motion detector; additional door/window sensors; glass break detector; magnetic contact set; smoke detector; wireless remote keypad; external siren. POWER: The console uses an alternating current (AC) adapter (included) or a rechargeable 12-volt battery (not included); the sensor and transmitter use batteries (included). DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): Console is 2 x 14 x 8.75 inches. WEIGHT: Console weighs 4.5 pounds. WARRANTY: One year (excludes batteries).
