ResidentCare 8500 Series Voice Dialer is a call system and emergency alert system designed for use in nursing homes, retirement facilities, or congregate living facilities by seniors or individuals with disabilities. The system includes a wireless transmitter that is wearable by the user. When a transmitter is is activated, the system automatically calls up to six telephone numbers and plays a verbal emergency identification message up to 20 seconds long. After the emergency message is played, the caregiver is able to talk to the resident through a two-way voice, full duplex, speaker. The caregiver can either terminate the call, or call the next emergency number by a a keystroke on their telephone handset. The system console controls all functions, processes signals from the wearable transmitters, and reports emergencies via the phone line directly to a caregiver. The wireless receiver uses a 433.92 megaHertz (MHz) operating frequency. OPTIONS: Computer monitoring. POWER: Uses Class II, 9-volt direct current (DC), 300mA, 60 Hertz transformer or a 7.2-volt 600mAH rechargeable Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd) backup battery (included).
