Senior Sentry is an emergency alert system designed for use in retirement or assisted living housing by seniors or individuals with mobility disabilities or severe physical disabilities. The system comprises a variety of hardware and software options, including totally hardwired systems, totally wireless systems, or combinations of the two, and can be integrated with other security systems such as door access control, intrusion alarm systems, intercom, and fire alarm systems. The system includes personal emergency call pendants that can be worn with a neck lanyard, belt clip, or wrist band and that come in latching and water resistant models. Other transmitters can be attached to any device with a dry contact switch output. Wireless smoke detectors and infrared motion detectors are also offered. The range for all of these transmitters is one half mile true-line-of-sight, which can be raised to four miles using repeaters. A single system will support up to 65,000 individual transmitters, each with its own unique identifiable code. A single computer- controlled universal transmitter may be used to control any number of stand alone receivers attached to equipment such as gate operators, door locks, motors, pumps, or other devices. Locators identify the location of a mobile pendant, allowing facility staff to respond immediately to an emergency call. Locators can also be used to track and find staff. The system displays all alarms and events on a high- resolution computer monitor. If an emergency alarm or other problem occurs, a voice synthesizer in the computer announces an alarm to all staff via handheld two-way radios. For a daily check on residents, each morning the system turns on a flashing light on a call switch in every residential unit. Residents press a button under the light when they are up and around, which deactivates the light for the day and records their well being. OPTIONS: Smoke alarms and door alarms.
