The Infra-Link First Aide Kit is an emergency alert system designed for use by seniors or by individuals with mobility disabilities, severe physical disabilities, or spinal cord injury. This system provides an immediate, independent communication link in case of an emergency. The system includes a universal infrared transmitter, a remote-controlled speaker-telephone, and an alternating current (AC) wall outlet. The transmitter and a sip-or-puff switch are attached to an I-V stand and can be moved aside or from room to room. Other components can be added for environmental control, including door openers and locks, lights, call-alarms, window openers and powered draperies, elevators, telephone, TV, radio, VCR, lamps, alarms, and electric-bed functions.
