CUSTOM ADAPTATIONPURPOSE: To prevent chairs around a dining table from being moved by a child with developmental disabilities. The system involves three straps, two at each end of the rectangular table and one in the center. The end straps are bolted to the table legs at either side and run across the table and through the side arms of each chair. The middle strap runs across the surface of the table and around the other side of the chairs. Unbuckling one side strap and the center strap frees the chairs on one side of the table while continuing to secure the chairs on the other side. The straps are made of 25 millimeter polyester webbing with plastic buckle clips. TITLE: Securing Kitchen Drawers. JOURNAL: TAD Journal. REF: Vol. 24, No. 3, Spring 2004: p. 10-11. PAGES: 2.
