The Tile Tech Detectable Warning Paver is a detectable warning surface designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This paving tile for ramps and other walking surfaces features a pattern of raised truncated domes that can be detected underfoot and by cane to alert pedestrians with visual impairment to a hazard on the route ahead, such as a street or a drop-off. The unit is made from Portland cement, crushed aggregates & inorganic alkaline resistant pigments, with a shot-blasted or honed surface finish and a bevel on all four sides. Custom color and aggregate mixes are available. The unit is manufactured using a hydraulic press, resulting in high strength (greater than 8000 pounds per square inch [psi]) to withstand tough applications and climates. Units can be either sand set or mortar set during installation, and they can also be field cut with a standard wet tile saw for areas with radiuses. DIMENSIONS (LxW): Individual tiles are 12 x 12, 12 x 24, or 16 x 24 inches. Each unit is 2 inches thick with a 0.1875 inch bevel on all four sides. WEIGHT: 11 to 22 pounds per square foot depending on paver size and thickness. COLOR: Yellow, red, black, or natural. Custom colors are also available. WARRANTY: Guaranteed to remain free from defects for 5 years and free from defects of labor and materials for 3 years.
