The Olympus DP-201 is a digital recorder designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This portable recorder features up to 98 hours of recording time for HQ mode and 202 hours or recording time for SP mode using built-in 2 gigabytes (GB) flash memory. Folders can store up to 99 messages per date. The DP-201 has a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen; a built-in 36-millimeter (mm) round dynamic speaker; a 3.5-mm headphone jack; and color-coordinated "Play," "Stop" and "Record" buttons. The Calendar Search function allows the user to organize recordings by date and time, and to search for files by file name or date. Other features include playback speed control and noise cancellation. OPTIONS: Carry case and Monaural Earphone (E-20). POWER: Uses two AAA alkaline (LR03 or R03) batteries or two AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries (not included). Battery life in HQ mode is 67 hours for recording, 21 hours for playback using speaker, and 45 hours for playback using headphone; for SP mode is 80 hours for recording, 21 hours for playback using speaker, and 49 hours for playback using headphone. DIMENSIONS (HxWxD): 3.7 x 2 x 0.7 inches. WEIGHT: 2.8 ounces with batteries.
