The Voter's Choice Alert System 1000, model 1851, is a voter assistance call signal designed to notify poll workers that a curbside voter has arrived. This curbside notification system detects vehicles when they drive over its rubber hose located in the parking area reserved for curbside voters and transmits a signal to the receiver located in the polling place. The system includes one transmitter with exterior hose and one receiver. range of signal transmission to the receiver is up to 600 feet depending on local terrain. The system does not require a direct line of sight between the transmitter and receiver. The transmitter assembly is waterproof. The receiver has sound and volume controls, including the selection one of four tones: classical, westminster chime, ding dong, or whistle. In addition to polling places, this sytem can be used at school entrances, fire stations, police stations, and buildings with limited access for individuals with disabilities. POWER: Receiver uses standard wall outlet. DIMENSIONS: Exterior hose is 25 feet long and 0.375 inches in diameter.
