The Uppertone Gym is a weight exercise machine specifically designed for use by individuals who are quadriplegics. All excercises and adjustments can be done without hand grip strength; no cuffs are required. This multi-station machine targets major upper-body groups. DELTOID PRESS: This station works the shoulders and lower neck region. Resistance adjustments are made by spinning the weights to new positions. Adjustable for height and arm width. LAT PULLS: Exercises at this station work the upper chest and back muscles (pects and lats). ROWING & CHEST PRESS: Pulling padded handles that simulate a rowing action provides aerobic exercise and works the biceps, shoulders and back. The chest press is acheived by turning around and pushing the levers instead of pulling. BICEP CURL & SHOULDER ROTATION: This station will work one arm at a time. It was designed to stretch out the arm in a position which will cause the full range of the curl to isolate the bicep group.WEIGHTS INCLUDED: The Uppertone exercise machine comes with the maximum available weight of 40 pounds on the rowing station and 30 pounds on the curl station. Two 10 lb. threaded disks are provided for the deltoid station, which has a capacity of 40 lbs. OPTIONS: Additional weights available include the 10-pound threaded weight disk and the 5-pound threaded weight disk. DIMENSIONS (LxWxH): Frame dimensions are 46 x 46 x 72 inches; overall dimensions are 75 x 56 x 74 inches. GUARANTEE: Manufacturer guarantees parts and labor for one year.
