The Motivaider, model 1153, is a prompter that vibrates at adjustable time intervals to remind the user, or a therapist, to perform a function (e.g. tighten muscles, breathe deeply, hold head up, stop drooling, etc.). It is used to promote various physical and mental exercises by constantly reminding the user to make some volitional movement. If the wearer does not make a switch closure within 20 seconds after the end of the preset vibration time interval, a buzzer will sound. This can be useful if one wants to elicit specific movements such as holding the head up at every preset time interval. POWER: Uses one AA battery (included). DIMENSIONS (LxWxH): 2 x 2 x .0.75 inches. WEIGHT: 4 ounces.
