The Worcester County Health Department's Mental Health Program offers a wide variety of services to the community. Resource planning, development, and implementation are crucial elements of the Mental Health Program. Referral, consultation, and education for members of the public and other agencies are also available. Other services include: Individual, family and group counseling for adults and children. School-based children?s services, parenting groups and summer programs for children with multiple problems. Specialty services for specific populations including homeless services for the chronically mentally ill: counseling for perpetrators and victims of domestic violence, counseling for adult and juvenile sex offenders and juvenile fire setters, services to the geriatric population in need of mental health services, and adults molested as children (AMACs). The Crisis Response Team provides 24 hour a day response for individuals with a psychiatric or substance abuse disorder who are in crisis. Call for further information are to schedule an appointment.
